Rohit Sharma Confirms No Fracture on Fingers, But Won’t Play Last ODI

During the post-match presentation of Bangladesh vs. India, the latter’s head coach Rahul Dravid confirmed that Rohit Sharma would miss the last ODI of this series.

This may be due to his injured finger, which he picked up during the fielding. Yet, Sharma walked in to bat at No.8 and tried his best to chase the target. But lack of support from the tailenders had led to India losing the second ODI to Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma is Fine, But Won’t Play

Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper, has been exceptional tonight at the Dhaka stadium in Bangladesh, where he tried his best to hand a win to his team. With an injured finger he picked up in fielding, he played a responsible innings at the end.

Yet, India lost by 5 runs in the second ODI against Bangladesh, which also handed the hosts a series win. While there’s still a Test series to play soon, India may want to shuffle their current ODI squad to play better in the next ODI match and avoid a whitewash.

In this pursuit, the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid said Rohit Sharma would miss the third and final ODI in this series – probably due to his injured finger. Though Rohit Sharma confirmed there’s no finger fracture, it’s reasonable to rest him for a match to be good for the Test series. Yet, this, too, is doubtful now.
