Kashmir Files Director Announced His Next Movie Titled ‘The Vaccine War’

Award-winning director Vivek Agnihotri announces his upcoming project – “The Vaccine War,” which is set to be released across the country on Independence day 2023. The movie is going to be released in 10 Indian Languages alongside English.

On his birthday occasion, the Kashmir files director Vivek Agnihotri released the poster and title of The Vaccine War and said for the first time in India, a movie is going to be released in 11 languages as an initiative to integrate the Indian film industry as one with the hashtag #BharatKaApnaCinema. The tagline of the film title says,

The war you didn’t know you fought. And won.”

The upcoming film will be directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by his wife, Pallavi Joshi. The cast and crew details are yet to be declared by the director. A few days before the release of the title poster, Agnihotri tweeted that India has overcome the pandemic with the help of our scientific knowledge. Reviewing the recent tweets and title poster, many people speculate that the movie plot might revolve around the covid times and the backstory of vaccines Covishield and Covaxin. Mr. Agnihotri has become a controversial director after the Kashmir Files. Many people alleged that the movie was inaccurate and based on the propaganda of Hindutva philosophy. Al Jazeera stated that the movie is reviewed by Indian media as Islamophobic and provocative.

The director is publicly known for his controversial sexist and provocative statements. There are speculations that he is being patronized by a famous political party that idealizes Hindutva philosophy. However, the director turned down the rumors and denied any such collaborations.
